I forgot....I know, I know
I took my new SW22 Victory out for its first shots trying to beat a bout of rain. I Checked the barrel and chamber before loading but in the haste forgot to put a few drops of oil on the slide/bolt. Only got to shoot 40 rounds before the rain set in. It performed flawlessly. I'm hoping there was enough factory lube for no harm to be done during the initial break in. I have since then field stripped it and cleaned and oiled. It just bugs me I did that. No harm...no foul??

You've ruined your gun. Send it forthwith to me, and I will hide your shame forever.
No, really...

40 rounds of .22 LR won't harm it and there should have been lube on there from the Factory. In the future I'd advise inspecting and cleaning a new gun BEFORE firing it. Yes, I clean newly acquired guns BEFORE shooting them just to inspect everything and make sure everything is to spec.
