Default Model 36 DAO vs da/sa

Trying to find pics of DAO hammer and trigger and SA/Da not sure I really could identify which is which. Found lots of pics that didn't say which they were. Friend of mine, biginge, just picked up a nickeled refinished model 36 that someone put gold all over hammer and trigger after nickle (hammer has spur) that has no single action. Pulled the side plate and don't see how it could get to single action with the parts that are in it but have read that some were produced DAO but never saw a factory hammer with a spur. Can anyone show me pics and explain? Thanks Vonn

It would probably be easier to show close up pictures of the action you examined. Members here could then comment about those specific parts.
Perhaps the SA is not working properly because of the plating?

Don't have any but I will try to get some later. It isn't my gun and I will have to get him to bring it over to my shop to get some.
