Default Touching-up areas that need re-blue

A while back there was a thread on using a re-bluing pen to treat small areas on a firearm that needed touched up. Being electronically bereft, I am unable to locate this thread.

The thread made mention of using "brass" wool as opposed to steel wool, I believe. I purchased a Birchwood-Casey re-blue pen and want to touch up the back-strap area on a Model 13 3 inch.

Any assistance (and further observations) would be appreciated.

TIA.

JPJ
