Shield slide lock-release
I like my Shield 9mm just fine, but am used to being able to use the slide lock as a thumb operated slide release. Does anybody now make this part that has already been angled to operate in this fashion? I am really aggravated by this but would just as soon not fiddle with the part myself if I can help it. I will almost certainly ruin at least one before I get it right.

I have a 9mm shield and have the same problem. This thing is too small!! Does some of the M&P 9mm parts fit. Especially the sights. I see all kinds of sights that fit the M&P but very few for the shield. Will they interchange?

Basically, if you need a slide release, you need to buy something other than a Shield. If a gun is too small, you need to buy a larger gun. Buying a gun that doesn't work the way you want and trying to make it work differently is just plain nuts.

It is not the gun that is too small, it is the slide release. Is there an aftermarket slide release that is a little larger? I like the size of the gun, great pocket gun!!

As has been said at least 500 times in other threads in this forum, it is not a "slide release" it is a "slide stop". It is not meant to be used to release the slide, which should be accomplished (per the manual) by "slingshotting" the slide. If not having a slide release aggravates you too much, sell the pistol.
