Any copper removal product made for bores should work fine, but if you use the same ammo that caused it the streaks will probably just return. Personally, I would not get too aggressive with scrubbing unless accuracy is affected, and perhaps consider another load to see if it fouls the bore less.

Get a can of Wipe-Out bore foam. Fill the barrel--dont use too much, it foams up quickly. Let it sit overnight. Pull a bore-snake through the next morning. You are finished. Go shooting again. Repeat.

I second Hoppe's No. 9. Run a wet patch through the barrel and let it sit for a few hours, then a dry patch, repeat the process until the dry patches come out clean. For real tough cases a little bit of JB bore cleaner on a patch works fast, but it is an abrasive so be careful how frequently you use it.

Some barrels don't copper foul; most do, but slight copper fouling won't hurt anything. That's not a reason to avoid cleaning, however. There will always be carbon fouling after shooting that should be removed regularly. If a slight copper "wash" remains after cleaning, that's okay.

For a long time, some have preached that bores should be cleaned to bare metal after firing jacketed bullets so as to remove all traces of copper fouling before shooting cast lead alloy bullets. Allegedly, cast bullet accuracy suffers if the copper is not removed. I've yet to see evidence that this is true in handguns or rifles.

There are many copper cleaning agents available. I've tried quite a few, but not all. The ones I've used work, but some are faster than others. Generally, copper fouling in a handgun bore is easier to remove than in a rifle bore unless the bore has been badly neglected.

I use Wipe-Out Patch-Out. Same ingredients as the foam, but you apply with a patch. Less messy that way.

I will try the patches. Wipe-out is the best/easiest gun cleaning product I have ever used.

I have tried most everything out there ever the course of 35+ years.
Have at least a dozen bottles of toxic brew hanging around.
Nothing works for copper like KG-12.
After finally reading the directions, I pushed the wet patch back and forth a couple dozen times as recommended and the copper was gone.
You do not need a brush at all.
Letting the stuff sit doesn't seem to do much like some of the other solutions with ammonia.
KG-12 is a water based (but still toxic) copper etchant designed by the Army for artillery.
It works. Recommended. No affiliation. Just a happy user.
Since it is aqueous, I use some kind of penetrating preserver like Hornady One-Shot cleaner-lube or Eezox to finish up.
