Default iframe 22/32 firing pin

How is the firing pin changed on this gun ? is it a major task? Can't find a diagram of the installation

Although the heading does not indicate "I Frame", I believe the I frame is the same design as the model 34, shown in the attached schematic. Firing pin bushing pin is removed (# 5354), the bushing, with the firing pin and spring then come out (are pushed forward) out of the breech area of the frame.

These schematics (along with most of the original part numbers) are in the 5th Edition book by Jerry Kuhnhausen, "The S&W Revolvers, A Shop Manual.

Many other illustrations and a lot of usable information.....and many other books, covering Remington, Colt, Ruger, 1911 and others.

Thanks, I have the book and the DVD but hadn't noticed that drawing. Me thinks I better get my nose back in the book.
