Default Who makes and installs "The Plug"? Also need basic....

Gunsmithing services on my slightly used but new to me 329PD revolver.

Greetings everyone, I was member here some years ago but became very ill and left the shooting sports and about everything else behind for a few years. I am coming around again and going to start shooting my old toys again.

There used to be a gentleman posting here who sold a device he called "the plug" for replacing the J-Lock on newer Smiths like my 329PD and I wish to have this done. In addition I would like to get some action smoothing done and the factory 'U' rear and fiberoptic BIG AZZED dot front sights replaced, perhaps with my old favorite orange insert front and white outline rear. I am showing my age here but I like what I like! Can someone here pease steer me to whomever was or hopefully is making the plugs and who can assist me with the modifications I am looking for? Thank you in advance,

Harley Magnumitis

Harley, I'm making plugs, and would install one for you. The fellow you are referring to is John Witt. He is Bullseyesmith on this forum. He apparently stopped making them for a while, but I think he is back now. The problem with me installing your plug would be the cost of round trip shipping. I'm sure you can find someone locally that can do the work.

epi, I am certain that I can manage the R&R of the part. How do I go about ordering this from you? Black or BLue/black would be fine as would a rough finish silver since the 329's are a multi colored deal anyway and were not 'pretty' guns even when brand new! Stricktly a gun to be carried a lot and shot very little. In the event that I cannot figure out wheres and hows of PM'ing here on this board, do you mind terribly sending me an e-mail with ordering info? My e-mail address is:

[email protected]

Thanks!

The closest match I make is stainless. It can be polished, but still going to be off a little.
