IMG_2091.jpgI was reassembling my R8 and this fell out. What is it and where does it go.

It's the same width as the bolt slot, and the intersecting slot to the trigger guard.

It's the block for the bolt. Prevents the cylinder from being opened when the gun is cocked.
Goes in the slot under the trigger.....small slot in the front lower part of the lever cams the lever up....off of the small tab on the rear of the trigger assy.

That you sir! I had tried it there once and must not have gotten that pin in the slot. It's in now. You're a lifesaver.

The bolt block was one of the latter improvements added in the Endurance package & was to positively prevent the cylinder from unlocking when fired.

I'm curious why all modern (endurance) N-frames don't have this?

I noticed some of mine do & some don't.

Anybody know what the rule is on this?
