Question Bi-pod for M&P 15

I just ordered a bipod for my rifle don't know what comes in the kit but will I need anything special to mount it?

I watched a video recently of a guy evaluating a scope on his AR15 using a bipod. His groups at 100 yds were an embarrassment.

You could see the rifle jump sideways on the shooting bench with every shot, and he was blaming the ammo!

I have a tacticool heavy barrel .308 that does the same thing when using the bipod from the bench, less so when on the ground.

For best results, I sand bag the rifle.
