Default 629 no dash single action trigger pull prob

Very nice overall condition, new to me, double action smooth with no problem. Single action is light and crisp if "quickly" pulled, if you sneak up with a slow concentrated pull as in a target shot, the hammer will fall slowly with a "simultaneous" movement of the trigger to the original forward position, with a misfire. This a repeatable on command! HELP. James in Wichita~

I would imagine that the OEM rebound slide spring has been altered (cut) or a lighter spring has been substituted. The mainspring strain screw may also be loose, altered, etc. The mainspring itself may also have been changed.

If the previous owner has not touched the hammer and trigger, or altered the internals other than the spring modifications, the issue can usually be resolved by installing a new OEM strength rebound spring, and restoring proper tension on the mainspring.
