Question Hammer ID

I recently came across a box of reloading stuff and at the bottom of the box were 4 older revolver hammers. At a glance I would guess 2 are K frame and 2 are N frame. I do not know much about these things and am hoping someone can help me officially ID these. Any info appreciated.
Hammer #1

Hammer #2

Hammer #3

Hammer #4

Sorry about the pictures, lighting isn't that great in my house.

I believe you are correct. 1 and 2 look like K's. Numbers 3 and 4 appear to be N frame hammers.

They are getting pricey these days so you SCORED! They also look new or at least "take-offs" on new Revolvers and so they should be in perfect condition. I'd certainly hold on to them for future use - as they are getting harder to find in that condition and are no longer to be made. Coat them with rust inhibiting grease and store them away for when you need them.

New Old Stock K frame case hardened pre 86/87 hammers alone, not complete assembly, can fetch $100+ these days.Sets of hammer and trigger for NOS are at $150-$200.

They came from grandfather's basement stuff. Which I know hasn't been touched since the early 80s. And everything else in the box dated to mid 70s.

Any suggestions on how/where to sell these? Not sure if I am keeping them.

You could list them here on the forum. There is a Classified section called "Accessories/Misc-For Sale or Trade" where the items could be offered for sale.

Be sure to read and become familiar with the "new rules" at the top of the page before listing the items.

If #4 is an N it's probably off a Model 58. That is the only N made in a lot of years that used the narrowest hammer spur. I believe even the 520 made for NYSP had the wider spur, although narrower than a target.
