Default .357 SS 6 shot unfluted cylinder-identify

A friend dropped this off today. The cylinder body measures 1.6" long, has a .114" cylinder latch pin and the ejector stem is .187" thick. He had no idea what brand or model revolver it came out of..(flea market find) and neither do I..but it does look like it could be S&W...maybe something newer than anything I own. Ideas? Thanks.

Thanks. I figured it may be "foreign". Will make a nice pen holder I guess.
