Default cylinder stop fitting

Can the elongated hole in the cylinder stop be dressed to make the stop activate a slightly bit later in slipping off the trigger?

It sounds as if you hav a timing issue. In that case adjustment would be necessary to the hand rather than the cylinder stop.

Yes, I have done that many times. When doing this, keep an eye on the end of the cylinder stop, as it may want to drag on the C/S window on the recoil shield side since it has moved rearward a bit. We are talking about a few thousandths of an inch here. In my mind, we are talking about a simple fitting adjustment to overcome manufacturing variations.
