Hi Jimmy:

Most sights adjust right for clock wise and left for counter clock wise.

Yes, that. Still, when in doubt ( on any brand firearm), stare at the rear sight and turn it clockwise 5 clicks all at once. That will show you clearly which direction CW movement drives the blade.
ps Don't forget to return it the same 5 clicks CCW when your done.

From S&W's revolvers owners manual.

If you were looking for another S&W, this link goes to all the current owners manuals.

Keep em in the "X" ring.

On any rear sight, you need to move the sight blade in the direction you want the hits to move. On S&W revolver, CW windage moves the sight right. CW elevation moves the sight down.

Most sights have an arrow pointing in the direction to move the sight to the "R" or "U".

The easiest method is if it's shooting two inches to the right, aim two inches to the left. If it's shooting two inches low, aim two inches high.

No screwdriver needed!

I love being helpful!!

If you are adjusting for elevation and decide to lower sight hold the blade down with you thumb before turning elevation nut. The threads are very fine and will strip if you try to pull sight down with out putting down pressure on the sight blade.
