Just Bought 4 S&Ws
I just bought 4 S&Ws and all have issues. I need some information on 2. I got a 686 2 1/2 inch and another in 4 inch. All 4 guns have bobbed hammers. Wondering which hammer will fit the 686s..Is it an L frame size or K frame. I have hammers for the 2 N frames..But will need to find hammers for the 686s. What will I look for?? Trigger pulls are great on all but just ugly. Oh..the prices were really right...so I can spend a little to make 'em purty again. I've never messed with an L frame gun..

The 686's are L frame revolvers.

Yeah..I know they are L frames but do K frame hammers work in them? Many internal parts interchange from what I have been told

J, K, L, N hammers are all different.
Are you needing CCH or flash chrome for the 686?
ETA:
Yeah, post pics of your treasures.
I'm assuming these have hammer mounted FP?

You got bobbed hammers? Why not just leave them alone and just shoot'em? All my favorite carry and using guns have bobbed hammers.

Yeah all have bobbed hammers. Darn ugly in my opinion. the 29-2 is a 4 inch n I think I will leave the 2 1/2 inch with bobbed hammer Probably put it in the pick up. I will pick these up on Friday. The 29-2 I will have to put another hammer in. I will take pics this weekend
