Default Shooting it for the First time ?

I have New in Box 617 ,6 inch barrel . I was cleaning the factory film off of it this morning and I began to think About shooting it .
So you hear of people Breaking in a Rifle , and I have question for the Forum ? Do you just shoot your Factory new pistols or do you break them in like you would a Rifle ?

The only way I ever break any firearm in is fire some ammo through it and check the results. Malfunctions, accuracy after sighting in. On a revolver, give it a hard look after the first cylinder, how did it eject, lead and debris around forcing cone. Fire a box of ammo, any problems? Enjoy. Clean at end of range session.

Here's how I break in a rifle : Read the manual, inspect and clean it, load it, shoot it. Same with a handgun.
