Angry cylinder will not cycle on 66-2 4 inch

Hi guys, I'm completely new to the disassembly and reassembly of this revolver but I managed to get it apart and get it back together after cleaning it without loosing anything. The problem is, now the cylinder will not cycle in single action or double action. I took the side plate off of my other 66-2 6 inch and compared everything to make sure nothing looked damaged and everything looks fine. The only difference is on my 6 inch I can pull the hand back that turns the cylinder and it springs back into place but on the 4 inch it has to spring tension at all. Anything sound familiar to you guys?

The hand spring has fallen off the pin

Remove the trigger and look into it. You will see the spring.

You will need a small bladed screw driver to manipulate the leg of the spring back over the pin that it tensions against

Yes sir , Colt saa is correct . It's a bit tedious the first time but after that you have a better feel for it . BE Patient , it's a real tiny hair like spring , you have to " cock " it , then hold it that way and install the hand ..

Let us hope that is ALL you did wrong, else you might cause serious damage to an otherwise fine old revolver.

S&W revolvers need not be taken apart, even for cleaning, and especially by people who have not had instruction by an expert.*

Ignore this advice at YOUR peril.

*A You Tube video is NOT expert instruction.
