Default A K-22 cylinder question

What changes have occurred in K-22 cylinder designs? i.e., what cylinder dates of manufacture would fit an early Model 17 (1958-59) frame and yoke with minimal to no modification?

I heard some of the -3 models didn't have the gas ring, other than that I think they all could be fit. I have done 3 K frame cylinders with little adjustment. But, I was installing them in center fire frames for hot rod 22 rounds. Sometimes, but rarely, with cylinders is it a drop in. Sometimes the yoke tube length needs trimmed a bit or shims added, sometimes the ratchet need a little adjustment.
