Default 40 M&P Shield ejector tuning?

Has anyone done one yet? My Shield throws brass an easy 20 feet
from the gun. I'm shooting 180 gr lead bullets over 5.5gr of Power
Pistol. The Pact Chrony says this load runs 880fps out of this gun
so it's not a hot load.

I was looking at the ejector and it protrudes about a quarter of an inch
over the magazine. There is room for a trim with out compromising the
nature of the pistol (concealed every day carry).

So has anyone shortened the ejector on a Shield, and if so how much
do you let hang over the magazine?
