Now that I've got the kinks worked out of my new Shield, I can say that in general, I like it. The only "concern" that I is that it has a trigger that is too light for my liking. Is there a spring kit that will stiffen the trigger pull?

May I ask what you modified that got your trigger too light?
Do you have the 9mm or 45 Shield.

I have the 9mm. The stock trigger seems very light. I prefer a stiffer trigger pull.

Have measured it? Did anyone work on the gun to 'get the kinks out' you mentioned? If you got it new I can't imagine that the trigger is too light, however if someone installed and Apex sear and it has been shot several hundred rounds the trigger would likely come in around 4lbs perhaps.

It has the stock trigger. I purchased the firearm new. Had issues with the slide locking up due to the guide rod having to be installed in a specific manner (i.e. spring opening up). I replaced the guide rod with a one piece guide rod and spring from S.S. Guiderods. Other than that, and the addition of Talon grips, everything is stock.

Perhaps you can find someone to measure the trigger pull so you know if it is within specs for S&W and if not contact them. If within specs and you want it increased you should see a gunsmith to perhaps modify the sear to increase the trigger pull or perhaps have another factory sear installed to see if that modifies to your liking.

There are state specific guns with heavier triggers required. Some forum members have those versions and wish they had lighter triggers.
Perhaps you could swap frames with one of them?
