Default Has anyone put Bowen Rough Country sights on their 69?

If you did, what front and rear height did you use?

I had to look them up to see what you were referring to. They look heavy duty.
Personally, the only time I have seen handgun sights damaged was when the gun was dropped and hit a hard surface. I'm not sure these sights would survive that much better.

I'm doing it more for the improved sight picture more than any increase in ruggedness - I've never liked S&W adjustable rears, and as my eyes have gotten older they have become distractingly busy. The new ones have a nice flat, serrated blade very much like old Millets.

Default Bowen Sight

If you go to Bowen's website he has a chart that lets you know what height his blade equals the factory height blade. Even if your gun isn't listed just measure your blade and see what one of his is equal. They are really good sights, I have them on 4 guns. They have the ability to lock down your adjustment so it doesn't move under recoil.

Yes, his chart shows a 0.400 blade but I've also seen reference to using a 0.430 on a Model 69. I have a question out to them about it.

If in doubt, just tell them you are putting it on a 69 when you order. If my guess is correct Mr. Bowen will know what to send you - assuming you are still using the factory front sight.
