Default Bead sight off

I just bought a cheap used Brazilian manufactured single barreled 12 gauge for a whole price of 60 dollars, it needs a little tlc, nothing wrong as far as shooting and ejecting spent shells. But she definitely needs a good refinish (maybe blue or cerakote not sure yet) but before I do this I need to get the bead sight back to 12 o'clock right now it's sitting about 10 30 or 11. I've never hammered over a sight before so needless to say I need a bit of guidance from one of you pros out there or even a shade tree Smith. I'm not too worried about the finish, and once I get the sight aligned it will probably be removed for the refinish. Any tips are appreciated.

Maybe take the bead off, position center drill fore or aft of original at 12. Mark, drill, tap. Insert old bead or new bead.
Maybe plug the old hole with threaded rod, or fill with a good epoxy, then refinish?

You should be able to unscrew it and replace it with one that's straight.
