I've never had any issues at all with Rig Products including their grease. Been using it for 40+ years and on Nickel too. If you have followed some of my threads, you will know I am a huge Rig aficionado. I use the Universal Grease, the +P grease, and the Rig#2 oil. BTW they are also compatible with each other and the Rig Oil even contains some of the grease in solution.
I use the Rig#2 Oil internally on my 1911's and the +P Grease on the rails, slide, barrel exterior, and bushing. GREAT STUFF!
I recently posted a thread about long term storage using he Rig Grease and it is just below this thread. For long term storage or in humid environments, disassemble firearm, apply Rig Grease and reassemble. Obviously, this would be done for long term and not on guns you regularly use - just too much work.
