Default Smith & Wesson / Walther PPK sight

You'll have to forgive me if this question is too Waltherish for this spot, as I never did understand the relationship between these two companies and the production of the PPK.

My stainless PPK produced during this period by S&W I guess took a hit which broke off half of the rear sight. Other than Smith & Wesson themselves for what would hopefully be the same part, is there any other option or improvements to PPK sights that I should know about?

Your thoughts appreciated. I should add that I am very satisfied with the pistol and it has been dependable and accurate.

There are no sight improvements that I am aware of. You will need to have the pistol repaired through Walther Arms. S&W no longer services or has parts for the PPK - even the pistols they manufactured.

^^^^^^^ What he said.
Walther USA services the S&W produced guns. The rear sight is the same on S&W and Walther USA produced guns. The only S&W specific parts are the hammer and some of the parts within the hammer assembly! Walther USA has these too.
