A Pawl ing
Does this look familiar? I have 10 bags from .079 to .088 by .001
I think they are cylinder pawls?

They may be pawls (or hands as S&W calls them), but they are not S&W.

Bing They look like Trooper hands. someone sent me a link to Numrich. Trooper Mk 3 looks good.

I didn't remember MkIII hands looking like that, so I had to go check Numrichs myself.
They sure are Colt hands, but they will work for any J or V frame Colt. That means the MkIII and MkV models, as they're all the same part number. They won't work on the AA frame King Cobras or the MM frame Anacondas though as the part numbers for them are different.
These particular hands were designed to work the same way S&W "pawls" do, by width. Unlike the classic V spring action design that uses length, and has upper and lower fingers.
