Default Hogue g10 vs VZ g10 grips

Hello,

I recently purchased a new 01-04-18 model 637-2 snubnose j-frame revolver.

I really like the new factory grips it came with, but they are rubber and may well last me a lifetime with a little maintanance. But, I would also like to have some other options since many choices are available. I do love the wooden variety, specifically Craig Spegel. (Also, the design.) I will be in the market for a set of nice wood grips later. I forgot to mention that I'm looking for boot grips, specifically.

I have found a couple g-10 options that I am interested in. I personally prefer the smooth version of the two. But, If any members on the site have either one or both that I can compare, I would love for you to share some pics, and give me your opinions on either of them.

They are the Hogue g-10 and VZ g-10, smooth options.

Well, I made up my mind.

I'm opting for the Hogues.

Will make the purchase tomorrow!

Couldn't pull the trigger.

A friend of mine is getting the VZ's, so I'll take a look at those first.

Check out Hogue's "Bantam grip"........ I actually like them a bit better then my Spegel's on a round butt 2" J-frame...... smooth wood are $80 and unlike Spegel not a real long wait..... also in G-10 ($60) and rubber.

Thank you, BAM-BAM.

I did not know they made bantam grips in wood. Will check those out. I like the ones in G-10. Those things look nice!
