Default S&W 645

I have a S&W 645 which is compensated and has adjustable sights. I am wondering if I can put a red dot on this gun and how to go about it. I was wondering with a red dot would this be good for a competition target gun?

Probably the best way to mount would be a small mount that goes in place of the rear sight on the slide. Then you could use something like a Burris Fastfire or similar red dot.

For target shooting it would be great. For competitions, you would need to find matches where the magazine capacity would be appropriate. I'm a revo guy, not sure how many a 645 holds, but I think it's a single stack.

Yes it is a single stack 8 rounds. I contacted Burris and they said they don't have a mount for the 645.

You could shoot Bullseye, Single Stack in USPSA, Steel Challenge, NRA Action Pistol, maybe IDPA, Bowling Pins, PPC, etc.

Allchin may have a mount that could be modified to fit, or make you a custom one.
