Just wanting to share my experience with a member refinishing my grips
I got these grips from another forum member that I bought a few pistols from and he was very very generous.
I posted a thread asking for help that I not only needed some grips refinished, but also the shape reworked some. I was contacted by "spdguns" that said he could help. (I'm sending him a PM with link to this thread)
All I can say is wow. He went above and beyond and they came back and blew away my expectations.
I'll post some pics.

Very nice work.
Is this something you're doing on a regular basis spdguns? I need a right diamond magna N-frame grip re-checkered.

Very pretty and am I seeing things, or do they fit a little better as well?
It looks like a closer fit to the backstrap esp. right at the thumb web.
Nice to know there are still craftsmen around who take pride in their work.

Yea he reshaped them. The left panel was way off. Look at the first of the before pictures where I'm just holding the grips and no gun. They were off a considerable amount.
