If we are really discussing an original MK i, B-Square made a saddle mount that clamped over the receiver and used the rear sight held captive to help anchor it and maybe same company made a "Mono-mount" consisting of two rings on the end of a riser one ring clamped to the receiver forward of the ejection port and the other holding the scope or right sized red dot above.
I have the saddle mount on a MK ii 6" with a red dot and it's a lot of fun and holds zero (even after I drove the Suburban out from under it) and have a "Mono-mount" that I've yet to put on anything.
There were other makers and approaches.
Ebay. Good luck!
