1937 Contract Brazillian vs. 1917 45acp
What engineering changes were made in the 1937 Brazillan contract 45acp that changed components used in the 1917? I know that the side plate was redesigned, as was the hand, was the ejector rod modified? The bolt? Etc.

The top of the frame along the rear sight channel was flattened. The notch in the rear sight was squared and was enlarged. Bolt is slightly different, but it does not affect functionality. Trigger is serrated rather than smooth. Hammer and trigger have the patent, etc. lettering.
All I can think of right now.

IIRC there were two batches of the 1937, the first used leftover 1917 frames and the second had the flattened top frame and squared off rear sight.

The ejector rod for both is still the large mushroom knob, most likely to use up the old barrels that are notched for it.

Just the opposite: the '37 batch used the newer flat top/large sight notch frames, the '45 batch used mostly WWI surplus frames.
