Are you intending to completely disassemble each time to get all fluid out and re-lubricate? Seems like more trouble than its worth unless you just intend on doing this when the Revolver is already fully in parts.

I saw a YouTube video where guy put a snubbie in one but I donít think it would do such a great job. If you took the sideplate off I would think blasting it out with compressed air would get the water out. Iíve never taken a revolver fully apart. I should try it sometime. Plenty of videos on doing it, but donít really see the point.

I donít think I would sonic clean a gun. Iíd do a barrel from a semi auto, but the videos I have seen from those who use sonic cleaners to clean guns arenít all that impressive.

First, why would you feel the need to do something so drastic? Traditional cleaning methods have worked fine for hundreds of years.
Second, In my dozen or so years using Ultrasonic cleaners in the navy, I've seen them eat away at certain alloys and finish's . Why risk it?
Third, NONE of my guns will ever see one. That I am sure of.

Lots has been written here on this topic if you do a search.
