Default S&W turnaround time for rebluing

I was just curious for those who sent their revolvers back to S&W to get refurbished/reblued, how long did it take from when they received your pistol to when it arrived back at your doorstep?

I sent my model 10-8 back to S&W to get reblued back on March 14th, Got the quote in the mail May 7th & paid it over the phone with customer service. Here we are in the first half of June. I contacted customer service & it's still in the shop.

Depends on how busy they are at the time.

I have sent in two revolvers for a combat revolver package.

The first one took almost a year and the second one was like 3 months.

I sent in my M&P 9mm for the M&P action package and it took 3 months and also sent in my Victory 22 for warranty repair. That also took close to 3 months....

I'm feeling optimistic as my model 10 I sent in is getting close to that magic third month.

Myself, I send mine to Ford’s for a “Master Blue” finish. Beautiful.

If S&W did their old blue, it would go there. But sadly they do not.

I hope it comes back to your liking. If not, check out Ford’s web page.

It took from March to May to get the quote. I'd allow more time to do the work.
