Grip Identification
Is there a quick and easy way to tell the difference between K and N frame Targets. Looking at some on fleebay and seller doesn’t know. Don’t the K-frame measure shorter across the bottom? I don’t have any to check. Thanks

Easiest way I know is look at the washer inside.
On K-frames the horizontal notch/cut on the rearward side between the edge of the washer and the back of the grip is only about 1/8" wide.
On N-frames that same section is closer to 1/4" wide - nearly twice as wide as on a K-frame.

Just like BC38 said. I've scored quite a few deals on N stocks described as K's. It takes a 'calibrated eye' to tell the difference from a pic. N's are a little 'beefier' all over, but yes, the length of the shelves on either side of the washer is the easiest way.

Here is a photo that shows what those above have noted as the shelf differences on unmodified K and N frame grips. The K shelf on the right is around 1/8" whereas the N shelf on the left is around 1/4 ".
