Default Smith 13-3 3” cylinder cannot disassemble

I put it in a Vice and still unable. Anyone have any tricks or thoughts?

I’m aware still won’t budge I have a new rod I want to change them out as well as clean the cylinder.

Put the rod in the vise lengthwise, horizontally, not in from the top. Place some empty casings into the cylinder to protect the extractor. Hand turn cylinder body to the right.

Thank you all in advance!

ALWAYS insert at least 3 empty cases when loosening or tightening! Use a Drill Press Chuck or a regular Drill Chuck and lock Ejector Rod in so it does not contact the knurled portion. A Drill Chuck will not damage ER because it has 3 evenly spaced and polished contact jaws. A Vise will flatten out ER in no time!
