Default Modell 64-5 DAO to DA/SA

Bought a surplus 64-5 with the intention to convert it to DA/SA. I changed the trigger and Hammer and it works except for the rebound slide not returning forward after firing DA. I changed the rebound spring with another stock spring...but the slide wont return forward after one DA trigger pull. It locks up until the hammer is pulled back slightly. Any suggestions? Stronger rebound spring?

Trigger needs to be fit so as not to bind.
Trigger and hammer are not drop in.

Sounds like the hammer block may be catching under the hammer as it rises up. I would try filing a radius or angle on the top edges on both sides of the hammer block and see if that helps. Can't hurt, might help.

Toolguy has identified the problem. He is referring to the sharp edges at the top of the flag shown in the photo.....

end result on both sides of the top.......
