Trigger Shoe on Dayton 14-2
Is there a difference between the K and N trigger assembly? I have a pristine Dayton 14-2 with the only flaw being a trigger shoe that was installed. It's not that I hate trigger shoes, I just hate the little dimples they leave on the trigger.

K and N frame triggers for a given period are the same. There are a lot of them on Ebay. Look them over real good.

Thank you, Triggerman. I have a couple in a parts drawer (k & N). The 14-2, as I'm sure you know, were produced in 1965, this run any way. I just sent for my letter, but I believe I know what it will say. I'll let you know how it goes.

Trigger shoes were prohibited in my LEO agency b/c the screws that attched them could come lose and tie up the gun. While I’ve never seen this happen I’ve always preferred the slim trigger the way it came from the factory.

AND, my buddy once tried to holster a NM conditioned 1911 equipped with a trigger shoe. He still has the blue jeans with the powder burns... (no meat!)

I too prefer a wider than standard trigger, but swapping out a trigger is not that hard to do. Beats the shoe!
