Default Screwdriver Suggestion

Hey Gang,
I just purchased my first 5-screw Pre-model10 M&P. It needs some TLC so I went to disassemble to start the cleaning process and notice the screw slots in this vintage revolver are more narrow that my other revolvers and my screwdriver tips don't fit. What kit would be the best for the early revolvers. My current bits are really close but will not drop as they should...Thanks as always

PS- I saw a recent post on screwdrivers but there's no mention on the thinner slot drivers/bits..

I believe both Midway and Brownells have them. If in doubt ask their customer service folks.

Both provide excellent advice IME.

The kit you need is called a grinder.

Fitting screwdriver tips is a normal gunsmith task.

Brownell's sell the thinner sizes.
The newer Magna-Tip kits start with the -3 size.
For the -1 and -2 see here....

The Brownells bits are nice (I have a complete set and love them) or you can buy quality screwdrivers locally and grind them to fit, I have picked up screwdrivers at garage sales that have been abused and ground them to fit certain screw sizes and it works well.
