Default m@p ejector loose

I have an M@P 9 full size. The ejector has up and down movement so i ordered a new one.It is different from the original in the half moon cutout is different will not fit. Is there a way to tighten the original. This pistol ejects brass directly into the face of my daughter when she shoots it. Is there a way to adjust this?
Thanks in advance

Does the pistol eject normally when someone else shoots it? If so, the issue is probably your daughters grip on the firearm.

Your firearm has a lifetime service policy. Contact S&W customer service explain your ejection issue (if the suggestion above doesn't fit the situation) and let them solve your problem.

Thank you for the quick answer. It does seem to eject a little better when i shoot it. Ejects over my right sholder. Will try to contact S@W monday about different ejector and see if they will sell me one that will work.

They'll probably want the whole gun back and will take care of the ejector fit and the ejection problem all at the same time and at no charge.

S&W is in the middle of their summer shut-down. Won't be available until August 6.
