S&W 13 cylinder binds
S&W 13 when shooting 38 spl on the six round cylinder binds. Cylinder hard to open after this takes place

I would be very concerned about carbon build up on the edge of the forcing cone. Sounds like a very dirty gun that needs the attention of a gunsmith.

Sounds like bent yoke or excessive end shake

Are you shooting reloads? Does your M13 have recessed cylinder?
Maybe high primers. Dirty cylinder recess and cartridges not seating properly.

It could be as simple as the ejector rod loosening up. With the cylinder closed, try turning the rod with just your fingers. If it turns easily, there's your problem. It happened to me Sunday while giving my M58 a workout with some pretty stout loads.

Is the gun clean, especially under ejector star?
Is the Ejector rod tight? Left hand thread.
Is it straight? With cylinder part way open turn cylinder and observe looking down at it beside barrel.
How much gap measured With feeler gauges from barrel to cylinder face with cylinder pressed back? .004 minimum
Is it the same in all cylinder locations?
With empty brass in gun does it cycle through entire cylinder OK?
How about completely empty dry firing?
What do your primers look like. Anything protruding out of them after firing,?
Any drag marks on case heads?
