Broken hammer nose on M60 no dash
Any suggestions on where to get the parts? I understand that they are not easy to get now.
I have a retired S&w armorer friend that can do the work.

Probably the easiest way would be to purchase one from Midway. The nose will be shipped with a new rivet.
Power Custom S&W Hammer Nose Rivet-Style J Frame Case - MPN: PC-S&WJHN
You might also be able to find one on Ebay at a reduced cost.....sometimes with a usable hammer still attached.

Go with which is least expensive, the hammer nose and rivet or complete hammer since you have an experienced armorer to install either. Also check out the S&W Smithing section of the forum, you may find what you need there.

When I needed some parts for my SW 66; I called the factory. They gave me the name and phone number of a person that obtains most of the obsolete parts from SW. You might try that route.

There are some on ebay (with the Hammer attached) but before looking there, call Jack First Gun Parts in Rapid City SD - he has a good supply of parts. I've been successful in removing the Rivet in one piece and reusing them (even though they were not designed for that). Once they are peened back into place they look good as always.
