I am seeking input from anyone with first hand experience with re-bluing/refinishing by S&W in recent times , say the last year or two. I have read one source that suggested that Smith is currently using an "environmentally friendly" approach to bluing ; is that true? (That would be a pretty big caution flag for me...)
I figure that this is a good place to ask ... What is the current state of affairs at the "Mother Ship" in regards to bluing? Who has had that done , or knows someone who did , and how did it go?
