22-4 to .45 COLT
Can .45ACP cylinder be recut for .45 Colt? Is the 22-4 cylinder too short?

Headspace is too large. Could be done with another cylinder in .357 or .44
|

Not necessarily. The ratchet of the ACP is thicker. A recessed .357 could probably be bored out for the LC, and fitted so you could change cylinders back and forth. Downside being long heavy LC bullets may make the cartridge LOA longer than the cylinder. If you fit the longest cylinder you can find the ACP cylinder will no longer fit. Check out Buffalo Bore +P Auto Rim loads, that may get you where you want to go.
