A: Not that I am aware of. B: Why do you want to do this?

I also have to ask, what is the nature of the problem?
Have you had the barrel set back one turn to fix a B/C gap problem?
Personally I would never file the center pin while it was still in the cylinder assembly.
When removing metal, slow is the way to go
I would disassemble, file a little, re-assemble, check for fit . . . Repeat as needed

I’m sorry, I should’ve been a lot clearer and explain myself I’m installing a new center pin because the old one is bent and I know it is long so I must file to fit. Just looking for an easier way .

Maybe check out YouTube for instructions... I just bought a Center pin from Brownells for a 4” 64 and it was definitely the right part. If it’s way too big, call Brownells, they’ll more than likely be able to make things right.

Wouldn't be the first time the wrong part was inserted in a labeled bag. The center pin almost never needs shortened unless, as noted earlier, the barrel was set back.

Center pin on a S&W revolver is actually a fitted part. A new way is usually a bit to long. Should be flush with end of ejector rod when frame end is pressed flush with ratchet. Rods are fitted part also.
