M&P LE Trade-in Trigger problem
So I recently purchased a “lightly used” M&P 2.0 40 cal LE trade in from a prominent distributor. This has IMO one of the worst triggers I’ve ever experienced. It seems very “gritty” and appears to “bind” suggesting something is not quite right. Any suggestions besides sending it to S&W or a smith? TIA...

Buy a Sigma. Most anything else has a better trigger pull.

I've got a G19 so I'm not very familiar with the M&P pistols but I've heard that Apex makes several drop in replacement trigger kits that are supposedly a significant upgrade.

Have you tried a good deep cleaning and lube?

A good cleaning is a good idea, if that doesn't do it, S&W will most likely take care of it free. You'll also have the assurance that it's properly taken care of.
If it was only "lightly" used, it might not have gone through transition training live fire. That generally takes care of slight manufacturing artifacts that might cause the "grittiness" you refer to. Our issue pistols cleaned up quite a bit by the end of a 4 day transition class.

I love police trade-ins, but that said, they have been some of the dirtiest guns I've ever bought. I pretty much assume that every one I buy will need a complete tear down and thorough cleaning.

I too buy police trade in's...but Im sure the warranty will not transfer due to Police issue, their weapons have a different warranty as do Military Arms.

LEO trade in firearms can range from dry to goopy with lubricant and can be very dirty, crusty, and sometimes rusty. I'd give that trade in M&P a thorough cleaning as that might cure the trigger issue.
