Default 14-3 hammer nose spring

Did the 14-3 have a hammer nose spring? I can’t believe I never noticed it until today and can’t remember if it had one or not.

The hammer nose springs were "normally" installed in magnum caliber S&W revolvers....although they are listed in the parts book as included in the model 15-6, and the model 10-9. The parts manual has an "X" under the model 14, which means they were not included in that model.

I guess this particular spring is one of those "never say never" add-ons in the S&W parts world.....sometimes you unexpectantly see them in revolvers that were not necessarily meant to have them.
