Default double action smoothness

So I got a new to me project. 27-2 6" with a bulged barrel. Put on a 3 1/2" barrel I had in parts box. BC gap about .004 after end shake taken care of with 1 shim. Replaced the trigger, bolt stop and hand. With the hammer and mainspring out the cylinder cycles smoothly, good carry up and locking and no drag on the hand to retard trigger rebound. With the hammer and mainspring in the pull is heavy to start and then nice and smooth. The gap between the double action sear and top of the trigger is .010. Where is the leverage ie area to polish to even out the pull so it stays consistent from beginning to end? Thanks Mark

For anyone how cares there was a square corner on the bottom back of the double action sear. I broke that edge with a stone and it now has a steady pull all the way through.
