Can someone tell me the correct height for the sight blade? I just checked my parts box and have a very short one, around .108, a .146, and a .160. Looking on Gun Parts website, they show the .146 for the 2.5" barrels in one place, then in another place they show the .146 for 4" and longer barrels. Then in yet another listing, they show .160 for the 4 and 6" barrels. All for the 586-3.
My parts book indicates .146".....in the barrel lengths 3"-6". I think the different heights of the blades expressed in the chart or on Numrich are because not all the front sights are exactly the same height. Can you measure the height of the front sight? My 4" 686 is .230" in the front and uses a .146" height blade.
