Default New 629

Took delivery of my new 629 on Friday. S/A ok after boosting it. D/A has a hitch when you first pull the trigger, it's happens when it drops the cylinder stop. This causes me to jerk the trigger, no way to control it. Does anyone have a hint,, can I fix it easily or do I ship it back to S&W before even firing it???? 850.00 and what do you get??????/

It could be as simple as a piece of metal shaving or something else in the lock works. I'd take it down and clean out the inside before anything else.

It sounds like maybe the DA sear is not sliding across the top of the trigger properly, but catching and hanging up. Polishing the contacting surfaces will help if that is what's happening.
