Default Broken Slide Stop Spring M-41

I pulled the slide off my 41PC do do a little cleaning and the slide stop fell off the frame along with a tiny broken leaf spring. The other end of the spring is staked into the slide stop so I guess i need to replace the entire assembly. Should I call S&W and order a new one or is that part available elsewhere? Is that the correct name for that part?
Thanks in advance for your help.

The slide stop/ejector assembly, and the individual springs are available at Brownells....and probably other parts suppliers. The only possible problem I can see with ordering the new assembly is there may be minor fitting required, since the ejector is also a part of the assembly.
The new spring could be fit to your current assembly and re-staked, but this would also take some minot fitting and hand work.

It may also be eligible for warranty service, if it is not an older model. If the gun qualifies as being eligible for warranty service, then both the shipping and labor would probably be covered by S&W.

The parts are listed under Brownell's number 77, and 79 on their list in the schematic. The S&W parts numbers are listed in the parts descriptions. Please disregard the four letter word in the link below.

Thanks for the confirmation. I think I will call S&W and see if they will take care of it. It's a 2014 model, hopefully still under warranty. I don't see any way to get the tiny bit of spring left in the slot out so a new assembly seems like the way to go.

FWIW: I had a similar problem (on an older 41) and S&W fixed it promptly and for free - including shipping.
