MGW frame wrench. Split insert?

I received my MGW frame wrench. Needed for the barrel less model 10s,
I bought from JG. The insert is solid. Instructions say this is so I can spit it where I want. I think, top to bottom makes the most sense. But Im often told, I dont make the most sense. Gentlemen that have been ther done that ,please advise. A pic of where you split yours, would be most appreciated.

I have the power custom derin inserts. They are basically split top and bottom.

It seems to me K frame barrels aren’t that tight. With the proper frame wrench I think you’ll be surprised how easy barrels come on and off

I have splitt mine om the top, but I think it doesn't matter that much.
